Removals in Ashtead

Ashtead is the eastern edge of what we cover and it is worth being straightforward about that, because it sits on a border rather than inside one.

Where the line is

Our Epsom sibling covers Ashtead too, from the other side. We take it from the Leatherhead direction and they take it from theirs, and for anything nearer Epsom, Ewell or Stoneleigh we will point you at them rather than compete over a village. It is a better answer for you than two firms pretending the other does not exist — who covers what.

The village

An older centre around the shops and the station approach, with tighter property and limited standing, then substantial interwar and postwar housing spreading out from it. Driveways across most of that, and the usual larger-than-expected volumes once the garage and the loft are counted.

The Common and the Downs side

North and east of the village the land rises towards the Common and the Downs, and the houses get larger with it. Generous plots, a few behind gates, and approaches that climb. Those get the same four questions we ask at Oxshott — gate width, drive turn, surface, turning space — and the same answer if any of them fails, which is to shuttle rather than to try it.

Routing

The Common splits the village and several of the roads around it are narrow with limited passing places. The obvious route between two Ashtead addresses on a map is frequently not the one that works with a loaded vehicle, and we work that out in advance rather than on the day.

Leatherhead town is west and Fetcham beyond it. Epsom is east and belongs to a sibling site.
